Midwife Care Model Event

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), in collaboration with the Lebanese Order of Midwives, the Lebanese University and Saint Joseph University, organized an event that celebrates and highlights the crucial role of midwives in Lebanon. This event consisted of two parallel activities: a roundtable discussion on the positive outcomes of the Midwifery-led model on maternal and neonatal health, and an open day celebration with interactive activities promoting the midwifery model.

MSF along with the organizing partners, initiated this event with the aspiration of strengthening the role of midwives in Lebanon, where midwifes have the possibility to work at the full extent of their competencies, to the benefit of both the Lebanese people and the healthcare system.
