Safety and Security
MSF aims to provide conflict victims with the medical care they need the most. Consequently, work may take place in locations of active conflict or in post-conflict communities, which may pose a risk to the safety and security of workers in these areas. MSF recognizes that it is impossible to eliminate all risks, but it does its best to mitigate these risks by adopting a comprehensive insurance policy.
Once in the field, all MSF employees must abide by the security protocols and regulations, whereas failure to do so may lead to the termination of their contracts. All security and safety protocols are put in place to ensure that the organization provides effective support to the patients most in need around the world.
